There’s nothing quite like a day at the lake. A rod in hand, the sun on your back, and the fun of reeling in a catch. When we’re talking catfish, we’re talking about a true Southern tradition that delivers fun, challenge, and a meal you’ll be proud of. Whether you’re new to fishing or an old pro, chasing catfish is always worth the time.

They Put Up a Good Fight

Catfish aren’t shy about putting up a fight. They’re strong, stubborn, and love to test your skills. We’ve seen some real monsters pulled from the water, including a 45-pounder that made local history. And with our lake stocked weekly with healthy, farm-raised channel catfish weighing between 2 and 8 pounds, you’re pretty much guaranteed to get some action.

Catfish Fishing is Great for all Experience Levels

One of the best things about catfishing is that anyone can do it. You don’t need fancy gear or a big budget. Grab some basic tackle, pick a shady spot by the water, and you’re in business. Catfish are known to bite just about all sorts of bait, including chicken liver, hot dogs, stink bait. What’s more, at our lake we offer fishing hours that stretch from 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., so you have plenty of time to relax, experiment, and wait for that big tug.

This is laid-back, relaxing fishing at its finest!

Catch It, Cook It

Let’s not forget the reward waiting at the end: fresh, flaky and delicious catfish. A good ole Southern fish fry hits different when you’ve done the catching yourself. Our lake allows you to take home up to six catfish, which means you’ll have more than enough for a delicious meal or two. Fry it, grill it, blacken it; regardless of how you like it, catfish is comfort food at its best.

As such, if you’re craving a peaceful day by the water, a good fight on the line, and a cooler full of fish to show for it, you’ve come to the right place. We welcome everyone, including families, solo anglers, church organizations and other groups out for a fun day and a picnic.
